Exercise 9 - Community Profiles - North Ryde - Chatswood West

My local council is City of Ryde. There are a few community libraries under Ryde council. The nearest library is North Ryde library. This is a small library but I enjoy visiting it.

There are 10421 population including overseas visitors in this area. There are Australia born persons 62.3% and overseas born persons 32.6%. Most of overseas born persons are from china (4.1%), United Kingdom (3.8%), Hong Kong (1.8%), Iran (1.4%) and New Zealand (1. 4%). There are only 32.6% overseas born persons spoke English, and 11.3% spoke another language and English not well or not at all. There are 46.1% of the population held educational qualifications, and 42.3% had no qualifications. The most popular occupations were Professionals (26.3%), Clerical and Administrative Workers (18.1%) and Managers (13.2%).
